As businesses begin to navigate to a new normal, whether returning to brick and mortar offices, continuing with a remote working environment, or some combination of both, communication and collaboration technology has never been more critical. At OTELCO, we're proud to have been able to assist these and other clients through these trying economic times. We're all in this together. • The Ogunquit Playhouse has been a popular summer destination for generations. It is known for its Broadwaycaliber shows that draw in theater lovers from across the country. It is even listed on the National Register of Historic Places as one of the last remaining summer theaters from the Straw Hat Circuit. • Due to COVID, the theater had to cancel its summer season. This left sponsors and ticket holders with many questions, and as a result, the Playhouse phones were ringing off the hook. The problem OPH was then faced with was a way to move those phones from the Playhouse to the homes of their staff so that they could aid their patrons from a safe environment. • Michael stepped in with a plan to equip the Playhouse staff with softphones. The phones use secure cloud technology to maintain call center quality from the homes of the team. "The staff is now able to communicate in live time as if they are in the office," explained Michael, "giving them the ability to work as a team from their individual homes." This included email, chat, video conferencing, and calendar services. • James was able to help with Office . Office offers cloudbased communications with Teams, file sharing through SharePoint, email, and calendar services through Outlook, along with cloudbased versions of all the Microsoft office classics and a leading email filter. With just one solution, James was able to successfully help the KVCOG stay connected even when they were working apart. • With this solution, ten plus council members were able to work from home during the pandemic. When we spoke to Executive Director Laura Cyr, she happily reported that the office "should have gotten Office before!"
