Miller is a philanthropist who serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Club, Portland Public Library (with a focus on advocating for the teen center), Maine Humanities Council, Mayo Street Arts and has tutored at the Telling Room. The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife named Joey Lefebvre as its "2019 Maine Game Warden of the Year" and Tim Spahr its "2019 Maine Game Warden Supervisor of the Year." Lefebvre patrols Lincoln and Knox counties while Spahr oversees York and Cumberland counties.
