Barnett is board certified by the American Board of Surgery with special qualifications in pediatric surgery and retains a position as associate pro- fessor of surgery at Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. The city of Portland hired Bob Fowler as pub- lic health director. Fowler was previously executive director at Milestone Recovery. Colby College in Waterville hired Jacqueline Terrassa as the Carolyn Muzzy director of the Colby College Museum of Art. Terrassa, who currently serves as the woman's board vice president for learning and public engagement at the Art Institute of Chicago, will assume her role in October. [ P R O M O T I O N S ] Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Maine promoted Jonathan Edwards to regional vice president of sales. Edwards most recently served as the director of sales. Maine Community College System in Augusta promoted Betsy Libby to interim president of Central Maine Community College in Auburn for the 2020-21 academic year. Libby, who has worked at the college since 2006, was previously vice president. [ A P P O I N T M E N T S ] Gov. Janet Mills appointed the Rev. Kenneth Lewis Jr., senior pastor at Green Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Portland, and Isaiah Reid, a student at University of Maine at Farmington, as repre- sentatives to the per- manent Commission on the Status of Racial, Indigenous and Maine Tribal Populations. The Maine Real Estate & Development Association in Portland elected Josh Fifield, a senior account executive in the business insur- ance department of Clark Insurance in Portland, as board pres- ident. e association also announced its 2020-22 slate of officers including Shannon Richards, Hay Runner, and Craig Young, the Boulos Co., vice presidents; Mark Stasium, Camden National Bank, trea- surer; and Shelly Clark, the association's vice president of operations, secretary. Kids First Center, a nonprofit in Scarborough, elected Susan Wiggin as president of its board of direc- tors. Wiggin operates her own pri- vate practice, Child-Centered Solutions. e organization also added Steve Young and Chelsea Torrey to its board. Young is a child and family therapist who helped found Touchstone Associates while Torrey is a mortgage loan offi- cer at Town & Country Federal Credit Union.
