Cardenas has been serving in the position on an interim basis since summer, 2019. Travis Lane has joined the wealth management team at Massachusetts- based Berkshire Bank, and will provide investment management services to various client accounts out of the bank's Glastonbury office. Lane previously worked as a financial advisor at a Greater Hartford registered investment advisor firm. Jason Cheung was hired at the Connecticut Data Collaborative (CT Data), a public-private partnership that advocates for the public availability of open and accessible data, as a data analyst. Cheung previously worked as an actuarial assistant with Voya Financial. Robin Nielsen has joined West Hartford-based independent investment advisory firm YHB Investment Advisors Inc. as an operations assistant, and will be responsible for coordinating the firm's compliance testing and review process. Nielsen previously worked in the South Windsor school system. Michelle Cabral was hired as vice president for human resources at Trinity College in Hartford. Cabral has more than 20 years of broad experience in human resources leadership at a variety of global organizations and industries. Katie Dunnington has joined Hartford-based insurer The Hartford as head of absence management. She will be responsible for the financial performance and strategic direction of the company's group benefits absence management product suite across all market segments. Dunnington previously served as vice president of group product solutions at Lincoln Financial Group. Bloomfield aerospace manufacturer Kaman Corp. promoted Rebecca Stath to vice president of accounting and principal accounting officer, and Lisa Barry to vice president of financial planning and analysis. Stath began her career at KPMG before joining Kaman Corp. in 2011 as internal audit manager. Barry worked at Hamilton Sundstrand and United Technologies Corp. before joining Kaman in 2015. Ohio-based KeyBank announced three new hires and three promotions in its Connecticut market. Michael McGuire has joined KeyBank Commercial Banking as middle market relationship manager, responsible for managing new and existing relationships with middle market commercial clients in the Hartford/ Springfield area; Melissa Bierowka was hired to the Business Banking team as senior business banking relationship manager serving business clients throughout greater New Haven; and Maryssa Tedder also joined the Business Banking team as a business banking relationship manager serving business clients throughout greater New Haven and Waterbury areas. Mark Commune has been promoted to regional retail leader for New England, Neil Cyr was promoted to area retail leader for central Connecticut and Christopher Pearson is now area retail leader for Connecticut's shoreline Armando Jimenez was hired as principal of Covenant Preparatory School in Hartford, where he will begin his tenure June 1. Jimenez currently serves as director of business partnerships and development with Hartford Public Schools. The Connecticut Council for Philanthropy, a Hartford-based nonprofit, announced new board leadership. Elaine Mintz, vice president of operations, Fairfield County's Community Foundation, was elected chair of the council; Tiffany Donelson, vice president of programs at Connecticut Health Foundation, will serve as vice chair; Lauren Patterson, president and CEO of New Canaan Community Foundation, is now secretary; and Paul Suter, vice president of operations at Children's Fund of Connecticut, will serve as treasurer. Peter Strniste, Jr. and Todd Regan have joined the Connecticut office of law firm Gordon & Rees as partners in the firm's construction practice group. Strniste represents owners, developers, construction managers, general contractors and trade contractors. Regan regularly advises construction managers, trade contractors, owners, and design professionals in disputes. Jim Swanski was promoted to director of the Wallingford office of 1898 & Co. — a business, technology and security solutions consultancy that is a subsidiary of construction services firm Burns & McDonnell. He is now responsible for leading a team of professionals delivering technology consulting projects. Swanski has more than 20 years of technology consulting and project management experience. The YMCA of Greater Hartford announced its new board of directors leadership team. The new board consists of Chair Elect Tom Rechen of McCarter & English, Vice Chair Linda Knox of the Knox Group, Vice Chair Peter Olson of CBRE Global Workspace Solutions, past Board Chair Rich Burness of Athene Holding Ltd., Treasurer Annette Larabee of Webster Bank and Secretary Carmen Sierra of the city of Hartford. Linda Ianieri was elected to Waterbury-based Webster Bank's board of directors. Ianieri retired from Pricewaterhouse- Coopers LLP after nearly 40 years of providing audit and advisory services to a broad range of both public and private financial services companies.
