Throughout this crisis our goal has remained constant — to provide superior patient care across all 27 of our specialties in the safest manner possible. While challenging, the results we were able to achieve exceeded my expectations. Together, we rapidly introduced safety measures across 32 locations to minimize the spread of disease and maintain social distancing. We launched Telemedicine for over 250 medical providers so we could deliver routine care to patients in the comfort and safety of their homes. Our offices remained open to address chronic health conditions and urgent healthcare needs while follow- ing recommended safety guidelines, with our staff doing an excellent job of triaging issues. And, we were able to maintain open lines of communication with patients, the community, and our staff through ongoing updates and a hotline. Our management and operations team has ensured that our business could run as smoothly as possible with minimal disruption to patient care. I am privileged to be surrounded by such outstanding healthcare leaders. Our patients have shown amazing resilience and gratitude for the care that they receive. Some were hesitant to adapt to Telemedicine, but our online reviews show that patients are finding these visits to be extremely beneficial. Most of all, I am grateful to the incredibly dedicated team of Starling doctors, nurses, and staff who have selflessly dedicated themselves to patient care, in spite of personal risk. Our goal is to minimize the need for ER visits and hospital- izations. The voracity of COVID-19 has made this difficult and we are fortunate to have many outstanding hospitals in the area to serve the patient population and partner with us in their care. Our state officials have also done an excellent job of providing guidance and support during this crisis. We have watched many health practices and urgent care clinics around us close their doors, but for Starling Phy- sicians, that was never an option. We strive to serve the healthcare needs of the people throughout our great state. Now, more than ever, we will do whatever it takes to make sure that we deliver the highest quality care that is safe, ac- cessible, and personalized. Connecticut will get through this and become even stronger. Until then, we are confident that we will continue to meet the healthcare needs of our patients and the community.
