Michael Myers, who had been the team's president since its inception four years ago, is now the COO. Ramey has been the head of the area's Worcester-based tourism agency since 2018, when she was promoted to succeed Christina Andreoli, who is now a senior vice president for private banking for Berkshire Bank. UMMHC CEO donates salary to employees Dr. Eric Dickson, the president and CEO of UMass Memorial Health Care in Worcester, will donate his paycheck to the UMass Emergency Assistance Support for Employees Fund until Gov. Charlie Baker lis the state of emergency declaration. Dickson made $2 million in total compensation in fiscal 2017, including a $1.1-million salary. Dickson's wife, Cathy Dickson, an emergency physician, joined her husband in the effort. Telegram parent company furloughing employees Gannett, the media company that owns the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, MetroWest Daily News and dozens of other publications across Massachusetts, is requiring employees to take three weeks of unpaid time off through June to save costs during the coronavirus crisis. Employees earning $38,000 annually or more will have to take five unpaid business days off each month in April, May and June. Senior leaders will take a pay cut equal to the furloughs. Nouria sells Worcester headquarters for $13M Nouria Energy, a convenience store operator and fuel retailer, has sold the Worcester office building where it has its headquarters for $13 million. e 85,000-square-foot building at 324 Clark St. also includes two state offices, the Department of Developmental Services and the Department of Early Education and Care, as well as the nonprofit South Bay Community Services. DCU Center to be Mass. Emergency Medical Center Worcester's DCU Center will be turned into a 250-medical facility to treat less severe coronavirus cases as one of three planned such centers statewide. Gov. Charlie Baker said the DCU Center is one of three field medical stations for which the state requested approval from the federal government to be a Massachusetts Emergency Medical Center. e DCU Center was up and running on April 8, preparing to take patient from UMass Memorial Medical Center and Saint Vincent Hospital.
