D Bank has had a longtime
hold on the Maine market. It
is still Maine's top bank, based on
market share, according to data from
the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
But in the past four years, Maine-
based Camden National Bank and
Bangor Savings Bank have closed
the gap, as the charts here show.
Each has more branches than TD
Bank, though evidently with fewer
average deposits. The Maine banks
have passed KeyBank, which has
10 fewer Maine offices than four
years ago, though the Cleveland-
based bank remains in the top 4.
Bank of America is unchanged in
the fifth spot.
