CTech 2 from Caribou Technology Center was the overall scholarship winners at the Junior Achievement of Maine's 14th annual Titan Challenge for high school students across the state. Brian Newell, Alex Bouchard, Cullin Caverhill and mentor Karson Wilcox from MMG Insurance made up the winning entry in the competition that pitted teams of three students against each other as they attempted to manage a virtual company in a competitive market- place. Benchmark Litigation, a guide to leading litigation attorneys and firms in America, named Preti Flaherty, a law firm in Portland, as its "2020 Litigation Firm of the Year in the state of Maine." e award honors litigators and law firms in all 50 states and 10 practice areas for outstanding performance in the previous year. VIP Tires and Service in Auburn announced that Brian Haskell and Brent Runnals earned ASE World Class Technician status. Haskell and Runnals are technicians for the company. e American Council on Renewable Energy awarded Sen. Susan Collins with its "Renewable Energy Champion Award" for 2020. Maine Medical Partners, Westbrook Pediatrics, which is a part of the MaineHealth system, was named a "HPV Vaccine Is Cancer Prevention Champion Award" winner for its efforts to protect adolescents from cancers caused by HPV in Maine. The Rotary Club of South Portland-Cape Elizabeth announced that Anton Wagner was presented with the "Service Above Self Award" by Rotary International. No more than 150 individuals are selected annually to receive this award, which recognizes demonstrated exem- plary continuing humanitarian service. RE/MAX Shoreline in Portland said the Buckspan Deering Team received the "Chairman's Club Award" from RE/ MAX LLC. e team also ranked as the third RE/MAX Team in Maine for 2019. ERA Dawson Bradford Co. in Bangor said it was named one of nine finalists for the "2019 ERA Real Estate Gene Francis Memorial Award." e agency also announced that Pauline Rock was one of three finalists for the "2019 Top Sales Associate Award" and Gus Ofili was one of three finalists for the "2019 Rookie of the Year Award."
