Young makers
make their mark
L
ooking to the future of the industry,
the New Haven Manufacturers As-
sociation has launched a new group,
Young Manufacturing Profession-
als (YMP), as an opportunity for
rising industry leaders ages 21 to 40
to meet, mingle and network with their
counterparts in the region's manufacturing
community.
On Feb. 11 the group, which also offers
professional-development opportunities
and leadership training, held a networking
get-together at New Haven's Firehouse
12 — a onetime (real!) firehouse reborn as
a contemporary-jazz listening room and
chic downtown watering hole. n
