Gaudette is the founding director of the WPI Myocardial Regeneration Lab, where he has pioneered the use of plants as scaffolding for heart regeneration. His research aims to develop a treatment for the millions of Americans suffering from myocardial infarction and other cardiovascular diseases. ERICA KUSZ of Holden has been appointed as assistant clinical director at Behavior Concepts in Worcester. Kusz, a board-certified behavioral analyst and a licensed applied behavior analyst, joined BCI in 2015 as a behavior analyst and was then promoted to assistant director of early intervention services. Kusz holds a bachelor's degree in communication, sciences and disorders from Worcester State University and a master's degree in applied behavior analysis from Endicott College in Beverly. VALERIE BROCK has been promoted to director of fermentation and cellaring at Wachusett Brewing Co. in Westminster. She was most recently the brewery's microbiologist, and she has 10 years of experience in bacteriology, fermentation science, quality assurance, and sensory analysis. She replaces brewmaster DAVE HOWARD, who stepped down after more than 20 years at Wachusett.
