Tree House Brewing Co. is now try- ing its hand at farming, as the Charlton brewery announced in February plans for the Tree House Orchard & Farm Fermentory. In a blog post, the company said it now owns and operates 100 acres of farmland including 60 acres of agricul- turally prime soil, grazing pasture for cattle, a produce and flower program, apple trees and vast expanses of land to be cultivated and planted for many years to come. Track Zero, the Boston taproom of Framingham brewery Jack's Abby Craft Lagers, has officially opened at the North Station MBTA platform. The taproom, which opened at the station inside TD Garden, is being mar- keted to commuters and guests to the facility, which serves as the home of the Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins. Wachusett Brewing Co. of Westminster will open two additional taprooms and brewing facilities this fall in two high-profile locations, including the location at the former John Harvard's in Cambridge's Harvard Square. The Harvard Square location will feature a 15-barrel brewhouse with 16 beers on tap, live entertainment and a full kitchen with a focus on flatbreads. Wormtown Brewery officially opened its expanded location at Patriot Place in Foxborough in December. Originally scheduled to open last summer at the 4,000-square-foot pop- up space slated for Maynard's Battle Road Brewery, the Worcester brewery took a while to get the Foxborough site renovated. >> Niche Hospitality's comings-and- goings Niche Hospitality closed the Citizen Wine Bar, Still & Stir and The People's Kitchen at the end of 2018, attributing the closings to a sale of the building at One Exchange Place. The Citizen Wine Bar opened in May 2008, followed by the People's Kitchen in 2010. Cocktail bar Still & Stir opened at One Exchange Place in 2012, the bar re- opened in November 2019 at its new location at 90 Commercial St. in Worcester. Bay State Brewing Co., currently brewing out of production breweries in Williamsburg and Leicester, will open a 10-barrel brewhouse and taproom at the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center later this year. The Fix Burger Bar, a concept from Niche, opened a second location in a closed restaurant space in Marlborough, formerly occupied by Allora Ristorante. The current Fix location on Grove Street in Worcester will remain. Wormtown Brewery in Worcester opened a taproom at Patriot Place in Foxborough in December.
