That included two industrial properties in South Portland, neither of which were listed. "It was real estate matchmaking," said broker Tom Moulton of NAI The Dunham Group. Hussey Seating Co. acquired this 45,000-square-foot industrial building as part of a multi-year, $8.2 mil- lion project to enhance manufacturing capabilities. The Sanford site is nine miles from Hussey's North Berwick headquarters. An off-market sale of a 5-story, 101- unit building known as Bayside Village Apartments, located in Portland's Bayside neighborhood. Built in 1909 and known as the Galt Block, this iconic brick- and-beam structure is strategically located on Portland's waterfront. Acquired by a Connecticut investor, Southwood Court Townhouses consists of a U-shaped 53,188-square- foot building with 34 two-bedroom townhouse units, eight three-bedroom townhouse units and a parking lot. The sale price is considered substantial for the Biddeford market. Purchased as a fully- leased 20,124-square- foot shopping center on 2.2 acres by a group of Massachusetts investors making their first foray into Maine. "I've always loved the Greater Portland market," said investor Mike d'Hemecourt. C O N T I N U E D O N P A G E 8 6 ยป
