S teve Mills has been getting paid to think about how to grow craft beer companies for over twenty years. He moved to Freeport, Maine to become the CEO of Maine Beer Company in February, 2018. Maine Beer Company's purpose is to do a lot of good through great beer. Founding the company in 2009, brothers David and Daniel Kleban wanted to prove they could run a business, while still doing what's right. Since day one, Maine Beer Company donates 1% of their revenue to environmental non-profits. They take care of their employees by paying 100% of their insurance, have a pension and contribute to their 401K (even if they don't)...and free beer. Mills is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps where he spent most of his active duty as a member of the honor guard in Washington D.C.. Steve has been married for over seventeen years. He and his wife have three children, a border collie and three outdoor cook- ers named: Weber, Barry White and Antonio Banderas. He enjoys mastering subjects of interest and practically anything that involves his family, friends, flavor and the outdoors. Steve Mills CEO of Maine Beer Co. PA N E L I S T 1. When it comes to people, slow is fast and fast is slow: Be sure people have and understand the information needed to accomplish the mission. 10. Visualize what you want, formulate a plan, write it down somewhere safe, and go for it: Your biggest life advances will likely come from your own ideas.
