Recent accomplishments There were many highlights for Turbine Controls this year. Our name, Turbine Controls MRO, was trademarked and now covers both Connecticut and Florida. In April, Pratt & Whitney signed a part- repair service award agree- ment with us. The company became the first third-party repair supplier for the Pratt & Whitney Geared Turbofan Engine. In July, Turbine Controls was chosen by Safran Transmission Sys- tems to be their maintenance, repair and operations partner in North America. The program supports an upgrade to the tail gearbox for the A320 family of aircraft powered by the LEAP engine. This agreement increases sales significantly and has positive growth potential. Finally, the company received commendation from the U.S. Air Force in a "Letter of Appreciation." How do you remain competitive in the market? Turbine Controls' priorities for the past 40 years have been quality ser- vice and superior customer service. Every year new equipment and capabilities are invested into the business, which offers customers full in-house capabilities, expert train- ing and professional staffing to meet these priorities. In 2009, the company was ac- cepted into Pratt & Whitney's Sup- plier Gold Program — a continuous improvement initiative mandatory for working with United Technolo- gies Corp. Turbine Controls has also been accepted into quality programs by GE, Rolls-Royce and Honeywell. What family value do you want passed on? Reputation is an important key to success. People need to trust you in order to do business with you. Without trust and respect, there is nothing.
