BOARD OF DIRECTORS N eighborhood Studios taught me how to be an even better performer. It taught me how to push my dancing to the next level and use it in different ways I had not thought of yet. This program also taught me the basic skills of how to market yourself well and how to create a résumé. These skills then helped me in my career outside of the program, which I am very thankful for. — Lili St. Amand , dancer/ choreographer, Neighborhood Studios alumna. Neighborhood Studios is the Arts Council's arts education program, providing artistic and career-skills training for the next generation of artists. On June 21, 2019, the Greater Hartford Arts Council brought Make Music Hartford, part of the worldwide Make Music Day celebrations, to our community. The day included more than 100 FREE musical events, 190 free music lessons, 200 free instruments distributed and thousands of smiles. The event brought our community together through music and we can't wait for 6.21.20. PHOTO | DANA LYNN MONTANARI
