It has hundreds of thousands of fans from the region that travel to TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn. Each year, 100% of net proceeds from the event support more than 150 nonprofit organizations throughout New England. TOP FUNDING SOURCES Corporate Sponsorships: 88% Fundraising Programs: 5% Ticket Sales: 5% Contributions In Kind: 1% Special Events: 1% GOALS • Produce a world-class professional sporting event that is broadcast around the world. • Further engage the nonprofit community to help them raise funds and to provide a platform to increase awareness for their charities. • Continue to recruit a strong field of PGA TOUR players for competition. • Create new revenue streams through additional events or sponsorship in order to raise more funds for charity. • Enhance the business-to-business networking environment during the tournament. • Increase diversity at the tournament among sponsors, spectators and participants. • Utilize the unique platform of a professional sporting event that is broadcast internationally to benefit the community and to generate a positive economic impact on the state. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/ OPPORTUNITIES Held annually at TPC River Highlands, the Travelers Championship benefits the community and helps local charities grow. There are a variety of special events leading up to and throughout tournament week. Each year the Travelers Championship kicks off with a 5K race to raise funds to benefit a local charity. The outreach continues during tournament week with our Military Appreciation programs, Women's Day, Concert Series, Celebrity Pro-Am, Operation Shower and more. In addition, we encourage charities from the region to use the tournament as a fundraising tool. The Travelers Championship provides nonprofits the ability to host special events or utilize our fundraising programs to help increase donations. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES Our goal is to put on a world- class event that makes the local community proud and generates significant funds for charity. We want to create an experience worth investing in as well as to offer sponsorship opportunities that our clients see as valuable for serving and growing their business. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Every year, approximately 4,000 people volunteer at the Travelers Championship. Our volunteers spend countless hours throughout the week to help deliver a world- class PGA TOUR experience for players, sponsors, fans and the media. We're proud that the tournament has generated nearly $20 million for 750 charities since Travelers became title sponsor in 2007, and we appreciate the hard work that has been required to get there. Volunteerism is important at Travelers, and more than 1,700 of our employees donated their time at this year's Travelers Championship.
