In 2020 Pine Tree Society is poised to continue to expand its services designed to help Maine people with disabilities with a focus sup- porting young adults, and their families, transition from school to adulthood. At the same time, we are working to bring the magic and impact of Pine Tree Camp to other Pine Tree Society programs with a focus of immersion in nature and the outdoors and barrier-free recreation. Pine Tree Society continues its commitment to ensure that the Pine Tree Camp experience is available to all who can benefit regardless of their ability to pay tuition. Pine Tree Camp's Open Door Policy translates into the need to raise $1 million on an annual basis. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES Pine Tree Society's special events are focused on raising money to support Pine Tree Camp's Campership Fund. Since it opened in 1945, Pine Tree Camp has welcomed all who could benefit from a barrier-free summer camp opportunity regardless of their ability to pay the $1,900 tuition. Last year, Pine Tree Camp provided nearly 99% of its 650 campers with full or partial tuition assistance. is commitment translates into the need to raise $1 million on an annual basis.
