Stronger communities, one neighbor at a time yccac.org In 2018… • 87% of children enrolled in YCCAC's Head Start program met or exceeded national benchmarks in Social Emotional Development, a key indicator of school-readiness and predictor of future success. • Nearly half of all infants born in York County were supported by YCCAC's WIC program, which served more than 3,000 children and adults through nutrition counseling, vouchers for healthy foods, breastfeeding support, referrals and education. • Nasson Health Care, York County's only Federally Qualified Health Center and one of just two Health Care for the Homeless programs in Maine, provided integrated primary care—including medical, dental and behavioral health services—to 5,300 York County residents. • The Economic Opportunity Department, with programs focused on financial wellness, prepared state and federal tax returns for 454 York County families resulting in $948,646 in refunds. • Approximately 2,700 York County households received fuel assistance with the help of YCCAC's Energy Services program, and 247 homes received energy conservation improvements, totaling $100,000 in annual energy cost savings. • YCCAC Transportation covered roughly 1.2 million miles through 59,049 bus trips and17,118 rides provided by our dedicated team of volunteer drivers, to help our neighbors and communities thrive. • More than 360 volunteers contributed 42,039 hours of service to YCCAC, equivalent to25 full-time employees and a value of $1,037,943 in donated time and labor.
