Trekkers combines expeditionary learning, community service, and outdoor-based education, utilizing a long-term mentoring approach that honors students for who they are and what their potential makes possible. With quantifiable data on Trekkers' ability to strengthen resiliency in adolescents, build aspirations, define post-secondary goals and increase connections between young people and their community, Trekkers launched the Trekkers Training Institute to provide more students with the opportunity to benefit from the Trekkers program model. To that end, Trekkers is continuing to work towards ensuring more young people in Maine have access to high quality, long-term mentoring that results in: f Increased rates of high school graduation and enrollment and completion of post-secondary education programs f riving, resilient, self-reliant, connected, empowered, and engaged adults who are actively realizing their full potential. Your investment gives a local student the opportunity to participate in the 6-year Trekkers program year-after-year. f Planned Giving: Adding Trekkers to your IRA, Will, or Life Insurance Policy is a meaningful way to leave a legacy and impact the next generation. f Trekkers' Compass Club: Members make monthly donations through the convenience of automatic withdrawal, helping Trekkers secure funding on an ongoing basis and helping us guide the future direction of our students. f In-Kind Donations: In-kind donations of, camping equipment, clothes, and office supplies are key to our success in providing experiential education programs for local youth. Silent auction bidding will run from 5:00- 7:00pm. Live auction starts at 7:00pm $10 at the door (includes hors d'oeuvres & sweets, coffee and soft drinks) f Annual Thomaston Trek: Sunday, June 7, 2020 Join us for our annual 5k walk and 5/10k run! e start/finish line will be at the omaston Academy/Public Library. is fun, family-friendly event is perfect for all ages and levels of walkers or runners. f Journey into Art—A silent art auction to benefit Trekkers: Summer 2020 in Rockland, Maine.
