SERVICE LOCATIONS Our Focus Area is Androscoggin, Oxford and Franklin Counties with some services reaching state wide. 2020 GOALS Community Concepts continues to implement our whole family approach of fos- tering opportunities for individuals, families, organizations and businesses in our communities. We are deeply involved in the Choice Neighborhood work along with the City of Lewiston, JT Gorman Foundation and the residents of the Tree Streets neighborhood of Lewiston in revitalizing downtown Lewiston. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES Community Concepts holds two annual events for community involvement, in addition to our Annual Appeal. f Oxford County Touch A Truck is a free children's event. Held in May, this event, unlike any other in our service area, allows us to reach out to residents to tell them about services available to them. With hopes to grow in the future, sponsorships would allow us to more effectively get our message out to families. f Community Concepts is planning an inaugural Golf Scramble in 2019 and seeking sponsors for this event. Come learn about the work we do while enjoying a great day of golf at an amazing course in Western Maine. We anticipate this event will grow into the future and provide great experiences for all. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES Our end of year Annual Appeal is our biggest fundraiser. e Annual Appeal goal is to raise funds from those in our community who are able and willing to lend a helping hand increasing the unrestricted funds that allow us to respond to the significant unmet needs in our community. Individuals and businesses will be able to go to our website and donate as always and we will be sending out a direct appeal showing how the funds raised will directly impact our communities. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES f Drivers in the Transportation Program – We are always seeking drivers to fill the need for rides by those with no other means of transportation. We provide amazing training to all of our volunteers and provide them with the latest technology to insure a safe an efficient process. Along with the satisfaction felt by assisting your neighbors, we do reimburse our volunteers for some of the costs associated with driving their own vehicles to do this critically needed service for others. f Self Help Housing – Help low-income families build their own homes from the ground up, on weekends throughout the year. f The Hub at Lewiston Public Library – Direct local residents to the services they need now and towards stability into the future.
