Paula Aiello, the executive vice president and CFO at YOU Inc. for 29 years, is taking the place of Kristine Bostek, the agen- cy's leader since February 2017. Aiello, a graduate of Bryant University in Rhode Island, serves on the board of the United Bank and its charitable organization, and is a member of the Central Massachusetts Financial Executives Association. She has also held finance-related commit- tee roles for the United Way of Central Massachusetts and the Worcester Boys and Girls Club. Holy Cross rises in U.S. News rankings U.S. News & World Report released its annual college rankings in Septem- ber, with College of the Holy Cross rising this year to 27th nationally among liberal arts schools. Holy Cross rose to 27th from 35th, and ranked 80th nationally for best value among liberal arts schools. Worcester Polytechnic Institute, which is ranked in a broader category that includes the country's best public and private colleges, was ranked 64th this year. It was 59th last year. WPI was 56th for best undergraduate teaching programs and 70th among colleges for best value. Clark University landed 91st on the same national universities list, falling from 66th last year. It ranked 42nd for best value. e rankings, which are closely watched in the higher education world, consider a range of factors including standardized test scores of admitted students, student-faculty ratios, gradua- tion rates, tuition and financial aid, and post-graduation employment. Other Central Massachusetts colleges landed on U.S. News & World Report's rankings of regional colleges in the North. Among those: Assumption College was 32nd, Worcester State University was 100th, Framingham State University was 104th, Fitchburg State University was 108th, and Anna Maria College was in a range between 129th and 170th. Worcester residents look to Boston, but Boston looks to Providence No sure way exists of tracking how many people are moving to Worcester from the Boston area, or vice versa. But one report does give a sense: Realtor.com's tracking of where residents are looking to move and where they move from. e results? e Boston metro area gets by far the most looks from Worces- ter-area residents looking to leave Central Massachusetts, with 22.0% of all searches. e Providence area is second at 7.7%, with the Hartford, Barnstable, Norwich/ New London, Conn., and Portland, Maine, areas following. Boston, though, looks primarily to Providence. e Rhode Island capital takes up 11.0% of Boston-area searches. Worcester is second at 8.4%, followed by Portland at 6.9%. Boston-area residents are more likely to look more broadly for a new home, and it's less likely to be in Central Massachusetts. Curaleaf sells Webster facility for $9.4M Cannabis retailer Curaleaf has sold its Webster cultivation facility for about $9.4 million, more than double what it paid for the building in January. e Wakefield-based company, which operates its grow and manufacturing operations out of the building, sold the property to FHP of Webster MA-CP LLC. at entity is registered to Jeff Wal- raven and is affiliated with Freehold Properties Inc. of Franklin, Tennessee. Curaleaf announced a $28.3-million leaseback agreement with Freehold Prop- erties covering six facilities in Massachu- setts, Florida and New Jersey. Curaleaf will retain the use of the properties for cultivation, processing and retail while the $28.3-million covers investments, tenant improvements and expansion plans. Commercial Finance Stream?
