The United Way improves the community by harnessing the power of volunteerism with a variety of short and long-term opportunities. Boys and Girls Club: To celebrate the Club's 130th birthday, we will host our first-ever gala – "Evening in the Park" – on September 21, 2019, in Elm Park. In what has quickly become a new family tradition, Worcester Community Action Council (WCAC) will once again be collaborating with The Hanover Theatre for a special performance of A Christmas Carol on December 19, 2019 with a portion of proceeds purchased to support WCAC.
