Preti Flaherty, a law firm in Portland, said 34 of its Maine-based attorneys were named to the U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers "2020 Best Lawyers in America" list. In addition, Bruce Gerrity, administrative and regula- tory law, Daniel Rapaport, personal injury litigation for defendants, and David Van Slyke, environmental law, were named "Lawyer of the Year" honorees. Amy Bowen, a busi- ness insurance account manager at Allen Insurance and Financial in Belfast, achieved the designation of "Accredited Customer Service Representative in Commercial Lines" from the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America. Eaton Peabody, a law firm in Bangor, said 21 of its attorneys were named to the U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers "2020 Best Lawyers in America" list. In addition, Michael Hodgins, land use and zoning law, and David Wakelin, employee benefits law, were named "Lawyer of the Year" honorees. Town & Country Federal Credit Union in Scarborough announced that Michael Jackson, director of stra- tegic initiatives, completed the Credit Union National Association's Management School, a three-year, executive education program. Readiness Associates, a preparedness and risk mitigation firm in Portland, said COO Bruce Brauninger pre- sented at the New Mexico Health Care Association/New Mexico Center for Assisted Living 2019 Convention and Exposition in Albuquerque, N.M. Shaheen & Gordon, a law firm in Portland, said Randall Smith, medical malpractice law: plaintiffs, was named "Lawyer of the Year" in the U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers "2020 Best Lawyers in America" list.
