In this role she manages the concep- tualization, building and implemen- tation of the Alliance's developing talent-attraction strategy. Bishop also oversees HYPE (Hartford Young Pro- fessionals & Entrepreneurs), a young professionals networking group in its 13th year with over 4,000 members. What's been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career? Managing daily operation of HYPE while maintaining consistency through- out the MetroHartford Alliance's evolu- tion has been a rewarding challenge. Additionally, I'm leading the development and execution of a talent-attraction strat- egy that will support employers through- out the region, an exciting challenge that I believe will be one of the organization's most impactful accomplishments. How are you involved in the commu- nity? I work with the community daily, helping local organizations connect with young professionals, planning volunteer opportunities, and utilizing platforms to share information about volunteer needs. I currently serve on- going roles with New England Knowl- edge Corridor's Steering Committee, the Goodwin College MSL advisory board and the Junior Achievement Breakfast Host Committee. What do you like to do outside of work? Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband, hiking and running with my three dogs, or curling up with a good book with my cat. I love live music of any kind, and spending time with my family and friends. Rebecca Eleck Bruce is the primary care medical director of Wheeler Clinic, a provider of integrated primary and behav- ioral health care. She oversees the care of thousands of medically under- served patients who come to Wheeler for treatment and leads a whole-person approach to care for all, incorporating behavioral health, addiction services, oral health, nutrition, complementary medicine services, and more. What's been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career? I've been a vital part of Wheeler's transformation over the last decade into a federally qualified community health center and primary care pro- vider. Community health centers care for more than 25 million Americans and my leadership highlights how a fully integrated healthcare system improves care and health outcomes. How are you involved in the commu- nity? I'm the chair of the Healthy Com- munities Committee of the Connecti- cut Community Foundation. I also teach yoga at the Greater Waterbury YMCA and annually volunteer as the medical director for Race for Chase and for the Quassapaug Sailing Cen- ter Open Water Swim Festival. What do you like to do outside of work? I enjoy open water swimming, hik- ing, trail running, teaching yoga, and spending time with family and friends. I'm especially grateful for my support- ive husband and amazing children.
