A subsidiary of Chicago- based investment firm Nuveen bought the warehouse and distribution facility. The Route 9 shopping plaza in Shrewsbury includes Staples, Bed Bath & Beyond, Bob's Stores, Pier 1 Imports and Work 'N Gear on a stretch including a Home Depot and Stop & Shop just west of the intersection with Route 140. The retailers add up to about 110,000 square feet. The site's previous open-mar - ket sale was for $13.5 million in 1993. Replimune, a Woburn bio- tech developing new can- cer treatments, is planning to spend $20 million to renovate 63,000-square- feet in the vacant Framingham building once the home to the MetroWest Daily News. The residential community off Brigham Street previously known as Jefferson at Wheeler Hill and Heights at Wheeler Hill, sold in August 2018 for a 10% premium from its last sale in 2015. The nine-building, 72-acre development, which was built in 2002, was sold by Strategic Partners U.S. in Los Angeles, an arm CBRE Global Investors. This property, the former AMSC headquarters, has already changed hands again. The site sold this spring for $36.7 million to Morgan Stanley Real Estate Advisor.
