Hartford, Simsbury officials announce Boys & Girls Club charity concert series Officials from Hartford and Simsbury recently announced Rock 'N Roll hall of famers The Beach Boys will kick off the Trantolo & Trantolo Charity Concert Series to help raise funds to help build The Boys & Girls Club of Hartford's new South End club. The Good Vibrations, Great Cause charity concert will be held at the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center in August. CT State Medical Society Women's Section hosts empowerment discussion The Connecticut State Medical Society's Women's Section recently held its first "Dinnertime Discussion" meeting featuring guest speaker Valerie Gordon, founder and president of Commander-in-She, a career-strategy consulting firm. The discussion focused on empowering women physicians to engage and lead through various communication strategies.
