Local Kitchen & Tap opened at 57 State Road in Kittery. Pine Tree Legal Assistance, a civil le- gal aid provider in Portland, announced that Urban Insight, a digital agency in Los Angeles, donated software to help its website visitors navigate complex legal problems in a logical and orga- nized manner. KeyBank Foundation, the nonprofit charitable foundation of KeyBank in Portland, presented a $50,000 check to the Olympia Snowe Women's Leadership Institute, an organization in Portland that helps build the confidence and aspira- tions of 540 high school girls at 36 schools across all 16 Maine counties. The gift is eligible to be matched dollar for dollar by a grant to the Institute, making the contri- bution worth $100,000 total. Tedford Housing, a nonprofit agency in Brunswick whose mis- sion is to find lasting solutions to the challenges of homeless- ness, announced the retirement of Executive Director Craig Phillips, effective Dec. 31. Phillips has led the organization since 2011 when he was hired as interim executive director and then later announced as executive director in 2012. U.S. Sens. Susan Collins and Angus King announced that York County Community Action Corp. received $1.39 million for its Head Start program. Steve Arnold, owner of Yarmouth Boat Yard, Moose Landing Marina and Freedom Boat Club of Maine, collaborated with Yamaha Marine and Southern Maine Community College in South Portland to create a grant-funded Yamaha Outboard Motor Repair training program that is now of- fered at the college free of charge for qualified students. Bristol Seafood in Portland launched Maine-made "individual fishing quota," or IFQ, haddock and cod fillets, loins and portions in response to customer demand for groundfish processed and frozen in the United States.
