Panera Bread franchisees raise money for Foodshare As part of its Community Breadbox program, nine Hartford-area Panera Bread bakery-cafés, members of the Howley Bread Group franchise, recently donated $9,000 collected from its customers to Foodshare. The donation will result in 22,500 meals for those in need. Johnson Brunetti lauded by Manchester Elks Gerry Gallo, of the Manchester Elks Lodge 1893, recently presented a plaque to Johnson Brunetti in gratitude for the firm's sponsorship of the 2018 Elks Holiday Veterans Gathering held in Manchester last December. Johnson Brunetti sponsored the annual holiday luncheon and assisted volunteers who helped serve a warm meal and personal-care items to nearly 300 veterans. Tunxis joins Connecticut Science Center STEM showcase Tunxis Community College participated in the Connecticut Science Center's first ever STEM Career Showcase on March 26. More than 400 high school students from 17 high schools across Connecticut attended, and learned about Tunxis' energy management, science and technology programs, in addition to hands-on demonstrations.
