The program, proving highly successful, is now being expanded and incorporated to several of our sister hospitals within our Trinity Health Of New England region. Our long standing teaching partnerships with medical schools in the New England region are the foundation to maintaining excellence in medical education. Saint Francis is privileged to work closely with an estimated 150 area educational institutions, including the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, the School of Health Sciences at Quinnipiac University, and the University of Saint Joseph's School of Pharmacy and Physician Assistant Studies, Goodwin College Nursing Program to name a few. In just the past year Saint Francis, along with our sister facility, Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital, welcomed in nearly 300 undergraduate medical students, nearly 200 graduate medical students, 1,000 nursing students, and nearly 900 students in a variety of other disciplines. All of our programs demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and dedicated support for research in a vibrant clinical environment. Each year roughly 2,000 students and colleagues participate in a range of the multidisciplinary training programs provided at Saint Francis, including our highly regarded Simulation Program.
