The O'Loughlins were given the Hey- wood Healthcare Community Health Hero Award for their work, including Athol Hospital fundraising, volunteerism and advocacy. Gardner's third-generation, family-owned Wood Ambulance was recognized with the Heywood's Collaborator's Award. Selfless service Health Plans Inc. of Westborough participated in a day of service for AIDS Project Worcester, assembling and distributing baskets of food and grocery items to those in need. The Harvard Pilgrim company also donated funding, as well. People, places and happenings in Central Massachusetts Baby whisperer Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester helped labor and delivery nurse Dorothy Normandin celebrate her retirement after 37 years on the job. Normandin began working at Saint Vincent in December of 1994. Her retirement date was also her birthday.
