Remembering Ralph I. Lancaster, Jr. Ralph I. Lancaster, Jr., our colleague and friend, passed away on January 22, 2019. Ralph's extraordinary 60-year legal career included a host of accomplishments and accolades, as well as leadership roles in professional organizations dedicated to improving the administration of justice in state and federal courts. Ralph had a nationwide reputation for his skills as a trial lawyer. He was also dedicated to providing legal services to the underserved and those in need, and he saw that work as the duty of those bestowed the privilege of practicing law. His skill, intellect, and work ethic were second to none. He was fair, ethical, kind, and loved to laugh. He was a mentor and role model to so many. We will miss Ralph very much and we will honor his legacy by continuing the tradition of excellence in the practice of law that was so important to him.
