Ercolano previously served as vice president for regional economic issues and transportation in Fairfield County for 12 years. In his new role, he will lead a team of business advisors in supporting entrepreneurial and growth companies throughout Connecticut. Kaaren Van Dyke has joined the Hartford Seminary as director of philanthropy, effective Feb. 1. Van Dyke most recently worked for Forestville, Calif., nonprofit Food for Thought as development director. In her new job, Van Dyke will oversee all fundraising efforts within the Seminary, including major gifts, annual fund, planned giving, new donor development, special fundraising initiatives, foundations and grants work and capital campaigns. Todd Navin was hired at Westfield Bank as a senior vice president and commercial loan officer. Navin, who will work out of Westfield Bank's Enfield office, will lead the bank's commercial- lending efforts in Connecticut. He most recently worked at Farmington Bank as a vice president and commercial loan officer. The Greater Hartford Arts Council has appointed a new board of directors president and two new board members. Paul Guzzardi of Deloitte was elected president, and Stephen Jackson, CPA of CohnReznick, and Brian Refici, of The Hartford, were elected to join the board. The MetroHartford Alliance, which promotes economic development in the Greater Hartford region, announced three additions to its staff. Raina Giddings has joined as senior director of investor relations; Jevon Gibb was hired as director of research; and Lisa Lappe is now digital marketing communications manager. David J. Rotatori, president of Naugatuck-based Ion Bank, was named chief executive. Rotatori began his career at Ion Bank, which is opening a Farmington branch, in 1990, and returned in 2009 as senior vice president, chief risk officer and chief administration officer. As chief executive, he succeeds Charles J. Boulier III, who retired. James P. Ryan was appointed associate vice president for integrated marketing communications at Quinnipiac University. Ryan previously developed communications strategies for brands including Pepsi, Heineken and Hewlett-Packard. At Quinnipiac, he will be responsible for advancing marketing- communications across the university. West Hartford accounting and consulting firm blumshapiro has elected four new partners. They include Stephen Fuller, Amber Monaghan, Miryam Wisnicki and Leslie Zoll. The United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut announced four recent hires at the nonprofit. Gina Federico has joined United Way as director of the North Hartford Triple Aim Collaborative and associate director of Well Being 360 at St. Francis Hospital; Angela Paydos was hired as the controller; Latonia Tabbis is the senior manager of education initiatives; and Phi Truong was hired as an administrative assistant for the Economic Mobility Team.
