Chalian works in Robinson + Cole's Stamford office, while Candace M. Cunningham, Kathleen E. Dion and Benjamin C. Jensen work out of the firm's Hartford office. Denise A. Anderson has been promoted to the position of vice president and chief nursing officer at New Britain's Hospital for Special Care (HSC). Anderson joined HSC in 2014 as director of professional development and practice. She now leads clinical care and nursing throughout the 228-bed long- term, acute-care hospital. Cary Bond, former executive of Stratford-based Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., has joined the board of directors of New York aerospace manufacturer TECT Aerospace. Bond most recently served as president of Sikorsky Aircraft Corp.'s commercial system and services business before retiring in 2015. He joined Sikorsky in 2005 as vice president of corporate strategy and later became chief marketing officer. Dr. Howard Selinger has been appointed the Carol L. and Gustave Sirot Endowed Chair of Family Medicine at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. Selinger will educate Quinnipiac medical students about the treatment of Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome. Maryam Jalal has joined Ironwood Capital, an Avon-based private equity firm, as an analyst. Prior to joining Ironwood, Jalal worked as a financial analyst for Terakeet, a search-engine optimization firm. At Ironwood, she will be responsible for reviewing new investment opportunities, conducting research and performing financial modeling and due diligence. David Iannucci has been named vice president of residential and consumer lending at Windsor Federal Savings. Iannucci most recently worked as vice president of residential mortgage lending at First National Bank of Suffield, which was recently acquired by Massachusetts-based PeoplesBank. State Rep. Melissa Ziobron (R-East Haddam) has been named the Connecticut Senate Republican Office's budget director. Ziobron previously served as ranking member of the state's budget-writing appropriations committee. She will start work in her new position when her term as state representative expires in January. Mike Paine, president of East Granby-based recycling and waste hauling provider Paine's Inc., will take over as chairman of the board of the Motor Transport Association of Connecticut (MTAC). Paine was elected by MTAC's membership during the group's annual meeting. His term began Jan. 1. The Bradley Regional Chamber of Commerce, which includes East Granby and Windsor Locks, has announced its 2019 board of directors. The board includes: President Leslie Marques, Treasurer David Renouf and Secretary Laine Pelletier; directors at large are Nancy Berube, Margaret Byrne, Sharon Courneyer, David Iannucci, Kashema Jennings, Tom Landry, Debbie Marconi, Barbara O'Brien and past President Gina Maria Alimberti. J. Dormer Stephen has been appointed to the board of directors of BioCT, a Groton-based bioscience industry group. Stephen is currently co-chair of Hartford law firm Shipman & Goodwin LLP's business and finance practice group. He has extensive experience handling sophisticated transactions for biotechnology, life sciences, medical products and healthcare technology companies. In a draft decision, the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) said it shot down the Aug. 20 buyout application because the deal would leave Connecticut Water in "worse condition both financially and managerially." As a result, SJW and Connecticut Water recently withdrew their PURA application to reevaluate the deal's regulatory approach. ■ ■ In August, Connecticut Water said it will book an additional $3.1 million in annual revenue, following a rate settlement with the state Office of Consumer Council.
