Pratt & Whitney hosts Girls in Aviation Day The Pratt & Whitney Women's Council, in partnership with the Connecticut Chapter of Women In Aviation, recently hosted its annual Girls in Aviation Day at the Hartford Jet Center at Brainard Airport. The event offered the opportunity for girls to tour several airplanes and talk to a variety of civilian and military personnel, including pilots, mechanics, and engineers, to learn about the jobs they perform. Johnson Brunetti supports Manchester Elks' annual holiday veterans gathering Financial planning firm Johnson Brunetti presented a $6,000 donation to the Manchester Elks Lodge to support the group's third annual holiday veterans gathering. The contribution will provide more than 250 veterans with a warm meal, clothing and personal-care items. CT Wealth Management hosts annual food drive Farmington-based Connecticut Wealth Management recently held its annual food drive to benefit The Bridge Family Center. During the month-long effort, the company's employees collected approximately 600 donated items for The Bridge Family Center, which provides youth and family services. Robinson+Cole staffers volunteer with Junior Achievement Robinson+Cole lawyers and staff members participated in Junior Achievement's "JA in a Day" program at Parkville Community School in Hartford. Nine volunteers from Robinson+Cole spent roughly five hours teaching 90 first- grade students a JA-developed curriculum focused on money, needs and wants, family, and the value of hard work.
