In this role he will report to CEO James Torgerson and exercise overall responsibility for HR, information technology and general services. Church comes to Avangrid from UnitedHealthcare, where he was chief talent officer responsible for creating, leading and driving talent strategies, and workforce attraction, development and engagement. Church has more than 20 years of broad human resources experience in a variety of business sectors and in multiple HR leadership roles at companies including the Hartford, Aetna and United Technologies. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology from the University of Hartford. He is a member of the National Leadership Council of RAINN, the nation's largest anti- sexual-violence organization. Howard Selinger, MD, has been appointed the Carol L. and Gustave Sirot Endowed Professor of Family Medicine at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. Selinger has been the chair of family medicine at the Netter School of Medicine since it opened in 2013. He earned his bachelor's degree in biochemistry at Bowdoin College and his MD at the University of Pennsylvania. He is board-certified in family medicine. KeyBank has named Katherine Harrington relationship manager for its Connecticut and western Massachusetts service area. Farrington joins KeyBank from Citizens Bank, where she served in a similar role and helped to develop, organize and execute more than 175 events for client companies and their employees. Before that, she was a branch manager and multi-site manager for the Groton area. Farrington attended Central Connecticut State University and is pursuing a degree in digital marketing at Bay Path University. Wendy Ceccucci of Middletown, professor and chair of computer information systems at Quinnipiac University, has been inducted as a fellow of the Association of Information Technology Professionals' Education Special Interest Group. AITP-EDSIG was established to promote and strengthen information systems education by encouraging dialogue between practitioners and academic professionals, facilitating linkages and collaboration opportunities between industry and academia and disseminating innovations and best practices. Ceccucci has taught at Quinnipiac for 23 years. She earned a Ph.D. in management science and a master's in management science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. She holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science from Union College. n C hris DiPentima, president of Middletown- based Pegasus Manufacturing, was elected chairman of the Connecticut Business & Industry Association's board of directors Dec. 6. He succeeds Mary Kay Fenton, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Achillion Pharmaceuticals, who becomes immediate past chair. e board also elected two vice chairs: Jennifer DelMonico, managing partner of Murtha Cullina LLP in New Haven, and Jeff Hubbard, market president of KeyBank. DiPentima joined Pegasus Manufacturing, a division of Leggett & Platt, in 2002 when it was family-owned. He is credited with introducing the company's current foundation of disciplined change management, continuous improvement/lean and strategic policy deployment. DiPentima was appointed by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy to the board of the Connecticut Manufacturing Innovation Fund. He is also a past board member of the Connecticut Technical High School System and immediate past president of Aerospace Components Manufacturers. DiPentima is also a member of the Connecticut contingent of the National Governor's Policy Academy for Best Practices in Manufacturing.
