So wrote Michael Simons, M.D., the married chief of cardiology at Yale School of Medicine, proclaim- ing his passion to a postdoctoral associate who was not his wife — and who also had a serious boyfriend. She was definitely not interested, but Simons contin- ued to express his desire for her, according to documents obtained by the Yale Daily News. Starting in 2010, he spoke to the woman of his love, wrote amorous letters in Italian and penned emails declar- ing his admiration and denigrating her boyfriend, also at the Medical School.
