The Open Hearth hosts
annual Starry Night Gala
The Open Hearth recently held its Starry Night Gala at The
Hartford Club. The event drew over 125 attendees and
raised funds to continue the work of The Open Hearth, which
works with men experiencing homelessness. Pictured (from

Four CT companies inducted into
American Manufacturing Hall of Fame
Four Connecticut companies were recently inducted into
the American Manufacturing Hall of Fame in a ceremony
attended by close to 300 people at the Trumbull Marriott.
The companies honored included: Cheney Brothers;
Farrel-Pomini; Handy & Harman; and Timex Group USA.

recently held its 2018
Project Achievement Awards and scholarship dinner at
The Hartford Club.
The following awards were presented: Person of the
Year, Pasquale "Bud" Salemi; Firm of the Year, WSP
USA Inc.; CT Chapter Infrastructure Project Under $25
Million, Beta Group Inc.; Infrastructure Project Over $25
Million, Middlesex Corp.; Buildings Over $25 Million,
Seabury expansion and renovation, KBE Building Corp.
Pratt & Whitney participates
in Habitat for Humanity
Twenty-four Pratt & Whitney
employees volunteered with Habitat
for Humanity to help build a home
in South Hartford. The volunteers
installed a front porch and drywall of
the new home, and completed more
than half of the interior. The event was
part of Habitat for Humanity's Build-A-
Thon program, which raised enough
funding to sponsor another home
for a family in Greater Hartford this
