In that spirit, the company, which has a location in Norwalk, created its "Total Health" program, which offers a variety of health, well-being and other programs meant to encour- age a healthy work-life balance, and support the pursuit of health goals. To that end, FM Global has been keeping up its traditional health offerings, while mixing in some new programs. The company continues to give employ- ees access to shot clinics, biometric screenings, and stress reduction and financial wellness programs. The program puts an emphasis on education and behavior change partially through activities and events. Activities meant to keep employees physically fit include "Walking Club," on-site fitness classes and lunch and learns about nutrition, along with in- centives like a raffle for a year of free health care for five employees who participate in Gallagher's Renew Your Health program. But it's not all about physical prow- ess. But over the years, commit- ment to health and wellness among employ- ees has intensi- fied to where DG now has a wellness depart- ment staffed by six certified health coaches, personal trainers and registered dietitians. The wellness team is responsible for spearheading the company's wellness program. DG has also maintained a modest fitness facility on its grounds, and within the last five years, certified instructors have been stopping by on a weekly basis for cycling, strength and yoga classes. It also keeps employ- ees up to date on the latest health trends through intranet article postings covering topics such as the benefits of eating right, exercising and ways to reduce stress. Financial health is key to overall well-being, which is why Safelite em- ployees receive retirement benefits, 401(k) plans, tuition reimbursement, legal-assistance resources and other benefits. Safelite's program also prioritizes the health of the community. To that end, each employee gets paid time off to volunteer.
