Boylston headquarters Tool manufacturer Emuge has started to double its West Boylston headquar- ters in a 22,000-square-foot expansion. e office and manufacturing center is the North American base for its Ger- man parent company, which has more than 1,800 employees and makes drills, tool-holders, clamping devices and other rotary cutting tools. Emuge, which has been in the United States for 35 years, began its expansion in September and is expected to com- plete the job by late 2019. Worcester State freezes tuition and fees Worcester State University announced the unanimous decision of the board of trustees to freeze student tuition and fees for one more year. e proposal was supported by President Barry Maloney. In-state tuition and fees will remain at $10,161 per year. For out-of-state students, tuition is $16,241 per year. To live on campus, additional fees range between $7,778 and $8,478. Devens bag manufacturer acquired by Indiana firm Devens manufacturer of polyethylene bags Laddawn has been acquired by Indiana firm Berry Global Group, a sup- plier of non-woven, flexible and rigid products for consumer and industrial end markets. e terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Berry Global Group in its fiscal 2018 financial results said it spent $702 million on acquisitions for the year. Privately-held Laddawn has 380 em- ployees and generated more than $145 million in net sales in the 12 months ending July 31.
