(NASDAQ: SLHD) will close another of its Maine stores, a Kmart location in Waterville. e Kmart store at 11 Elm Plaza will close in February 2019, according to court documents filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court Southern District of New York. In total, the new closure list includes 29 Sears stores and 11 Kmart locations. Just a month earlier, the Hoffmann, Ill.- based retailer identified a Kmart store at 417 Main St. in Madawaska among the 142 stores slated for closure. Nestlé Waters North America, through its Poland Spring Brand 100% Natural Spring Water, awarded a $25,000 Good Neighbor Grant to the University of Southern Maine Foundation. The grant will fund an upland watershed monitoring project conducted by the University's Environmental Science and Policy program. Androscoggin Bank's MainStreet Foundation selected New Beginnings, a Lewiston nonprofit that serves runaway and homeless youth and Maine families in crisis, as the 2018 recipient of its annual $25K for Kids grant. The award will be used to increase the resources for food and housing available to youth that utilize its programs.
