For more than 200 years, we have prepared our students not only for diplomas, but for their whole lives. We focus on developing the whole child — intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially — with an unwavering commitment to maximizing each student's potential. At ASD, we celebrate opportunities and potential, while helping our students overcome challenges and break down barriers. GOALS • Continue to provide Specially Designed Instruction for deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing children with diverse communication needs in a barrier-free environment. • Continue to prepare our students for lifelong success, while building their self-esteem and confidence. • Expand our Autism services to support not only deaf and hard of hearing, but also hearing non-verbal students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. • Become the premier community resource on all topics related to hearing loss. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES ASD holds an annual golf tournament and sponsorships vary. ASD also hosts benefit galas every 2-3 years to support school programs. ASD is grateful to our community partners who provide scholarships to allow students to attend Camp Isola Bella, ASD's summer camp for deaf and hard of hearing students, as well as children of deaf adults (CODAs). GIVING OPPORTUNITIES ASD provides our students with a dual-language foundation in American Sign Language and English. Our donors help to support ASD's essential programs that prepare our students for successful lives. There are many ways to support the school, including cash gifts, matching gifts, honorary or memorial gifts and gifts of securities.
