BOARD OF DIRECTORS F rom the moment a group of community visionaries came together in the late 1960s to establish a center for treating children's mental health needs in Plainville, Wheeler has always thought and worked differently. Through our five decades, we've transformed from that vision of a center for children, to delivering an array of whole- person health care as diverse as everyone we serve. Wheeler is successful today because we have a visionary leader in Susan Walkama, a committed Board of Trustees, and exceptional staff. To look at the growth over the last 50 years is humbling and impressive.
