FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES Held annually at TPC River Highlands, the Travelers Championship benefits the community and helps local charities grow. There are a variety of special events leading up to and throughout tournament week. Each year the Travelers Championship kicks off with a 5K race to raise funds to benefit a local charity. The outreach continues during tournament week with our Military Appreciation programs, Women's Day, Concert Series, Celebrity Pro-Am, Operation Shower and more. In addition, we encourage charities from the region to use the tournament as a fundraising tool. The Travelers Championship provides nonprofits the ability to host special events or utilize our fundraising programs to help increase donations. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Every year, approximately 4,000 people volunteer at the Travelers Championship. Our volunteers spend countless hours throughout the week to help deliver a world-class PGA TOUR experience for players, sponsors, fans and the media. Corporations, community groups and individuals are all encouraged to take part in more than 20 different volunteer opportunities, ranging from Hospitality to Scoring. T he Travelers Championship is an important part of Connecticut's sports history and provides Travelers with a tremendous opportunity to support the community and charities throughout the region. Since 2007, when Travelers became title sponsor, the Travelers Championship has generated $16.7 million for more than 750 organizations. Charitable giving and volunteerism are part of who Travelers is. In addition to our financial support, more than 1,900 Travelers employees volunteer at the tournament. We will continue to do everything we can to improve our event, so hundreds of worthy causes can benefit even more for years to come.
