Hartford Habitat will be marking this momentous occasion with a yearlong celebration that will honor our past, present and future. Hartford Habitat has successfully lived out the mission of building more than a house! We have expanded beyond the single standalone home to be a full-scale housing developer, including rehabs and critical repairs. Our model has fully developed to include construction, retail operation and support services for our homeowners. We are eager to continue this work with the purpose of serving a minimum of 50 families annually. We seek to fulfill the vision that everyone has a decent place to live in the world. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES Women Build is a national event in May that gives women the opportunity to build together and learn vital home improvement techniques. Build- A-Thon is held throughout the month of September for corporate sponsors to build homes in their local community. Our goal during Build-A-Thon is to enclose our home so that we can continue to build in the winter. Building on Faith is a weeklong celebration in April and October honoring our foundation in faith. Corporate and Partner Build Days: Sponsor a single build day for your co-workers, civic or faith group. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Hartford Habitat has flourished for the past 30 years through the support of volunteers. We host over 4,000 volunteers annually. Join us at one of our quarterly open houses to get engaged in the mission! We envision a world where everyone has a decent place to live. T here is hope. When we organized the Northeast Neighborhood NRZ in the early 1990's, Habitat was the first organization to help us get established. It gave us real value. We have been partners ever since in improving the neighborhood. We are proud that Habitat's roots are anchored in our community. We are family.
