We seek corporate support for all of our events, particularly with the Annual Butterfly Bash. Throughout the year, we request in-kind donations for food for Freshplace, our food pantry. We seek donations of food and organized food drives through the "Families Feeding Families" program. We also ask for in-kind donations of small household items to help clients move into their first home as they transition from homelessness to housing. During the holidays, we seek special in-kind donations of new toys, clothing, personal care and small household items for clients. We request items through social media, e-mails and mailings. We often seek help for Freshplace, our food pantry, which gives volunteers the opportunity to work directly with the clients to assist them in selecting nutritious food, preparing résumés, and with job searches. In addition, volunteers help organize and execute activities for client families, host food drives, at special events and help maintain our indoor hydroponic garden and outdoor gardens.
