Our products are complex to manufacture and we have tight manufacturing tolerances. These specialized gears and actuators are highly engineered components used in a variety of industries. Our gears, also known as speed reducers, and actuators are used wherever precision motion control is needed. We have strict NDAs with our customers, and are often not able to discuss them outside of our building. But, we can tell you that our gears can be found in everything, from surgical robots and Lunar Rovers to GPS satellites. Our products have even left the galaxy. Robotics is our biggest market, and is growing every day. The robotics market includes collaborative robots, medical robots, service robots, humanoid robots and automation robots. We are always looking for experienced manufacturing talent, currently CNC Machine Operators and Precision Machinists, to be specific. We also are always looking for Mechanical Design Engineers who have some experience with motion control or rotating equipment and are skilled at SolidWorks. Our business is growing and we have many other open positions that are updated regularly on our website. http://www.harmonicdrive.net/careers Not a formal one, but we do work with local universities and vocational/technical high schools in their co-op programs. For the past two summers we have had students from Wentworth Institute of Technology as Mechanical Design Engineer co-ops as well as students from Lynn Tech and Essex Tech who have done high school co-ops with us. One of these students recently joined us as a full-time hire after graduation in June! He may decide to further his education in Engineering through our Tuition Assistance benefit, which will pay for his schooling, provided he maintains his grades. We offer 100% paid medical, dental, short- term disability and life insurance premiums, as well as a 401k plan; plus, an annual Profit Sharing Bonus Plan, paid vacation and sick time as well as 13 paid holidays.
