Valdez-Jimenez, a senior contract specialist with UTC Aerospace Systems, will drive the work of a new generation of leaders committed to positive community change with an emphasis on youth success. Wesley Renfro has been appointed associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Quinnipiac University. Renfro is also an associate professor of political science. He most recently served as chair and an associate professor of political science and legal studies and director of the general education program at St. John Fisher College. Andrew Lavigne was hired by the Connecticut Port Authority (CPA) as manager of business development and special projects. Lavigne previously worked for a Washington, D.C.-based think tank where his focus was on transportation, infrastructure and national security issues, and has served as a consultant to CPA. Julia Fullick-Jagiela was appointed chair of the management department at Quinnipiac University's School of Business. In her new position, Fullick- Jagiela will oversee the 10-member faculty in the management department. She joined Quinnipiac's School of Business faculty in 2013. Erick Holm has joined Glastonbury's E.A. Quinn Landscape Contracting Inc. as an account manager. Holm has more than 35 years of experience in managing various grounds and landscapes. Stephen Andrzejewski was hired as a senior engineer at Fuss & O'Neill Inc., a Manchester civil and environmental engineering consulting firm. Andrzejewski was most recently the owner of his own Connecticut-based consulting firm. At Fuss & O'Neill he will mentor junior staff and manage major water resources projects. Kardas Larson, a human resources consulting firm in Glastonbury, hired Melissa Gallaway as a consultant. In her new position, Gallaway will work with clients on salary structures, FLSA compliance, total rewards integration and more. She previously worked as an independent consultant for clients in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Sergio J. Garcia joined the audit staff of Farmington accounting firm Federman, Lally & Remis LLC. Brandon Swafford was named senior vice president and director of corporate information security at Waterbury-based Webster Bank. Swafford is a security and technology executive with more than a decade of experience, including financial- services security, counterintelligence and legal electronic discovery. At Webster, he will be responsible for information security, engineering and operations and business continuity. Michael L. Campbell has joined The Mark Twain House & Museum in Hartford as chief financial officer. Campbell previously worked as director of finance and operations at the Connecticut Quality Council for Rensselaer at Hartford, and executive director of the Hartford Children's Theatre and SummerWind Performing Arts Center.
