Elijah grew up in nearby Upton, MA where he attended Nipmuc Regional High School. Both Elijah and Liam found their passion for engineering in high school and decided to attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute where they studied Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering. Elijah and Liam were roommates their freshman and sophomore years at WPI and later became a project team for their Major Qualifying Project (a.k.a. their senior design project). With their team of four, they designed the structural components for a potential athletic facility for varsity athletes and a pedestrian bridge that connects it to the current recreation center. Elijah interned with Package Steel Systems in December 2017 and Liam in January 2018. They were hired full-time after graduating in May 2018 from WPI with Bachelor of Science Degrees in Civil Engineering. Currently, they work with the Detailing and Engineering Department at Package Steel Systems, Inc., assisting in the design and detailing of our metal building systems. Both Elijah and Liam plan to pursue their Master of Science Degrees in Civil Engineering (Elijah from Norwich University in 2018; Liam is undecided at this time), while they continue to work for Package Steel Systems. Recent hires Liam Beal (l) and Elijah Berger (r) interned at Package Steel during their senior year at WPI.
