The Ulbrich Boys and
Girls Club celebrates
new technology center
The Ulbrich Boys and Girls Club in
Wallingford celebrated the grand
opening of its new Technology
Center, which was provided by Paul
Mitchell the School North Haven. The
donation included furnishings, 10 new
iPads, and a custom-built "Genius
Bar" to attract and engage the club's
teen population with resources such
as interactive technology programs.
Amazon hosts educational
program at CT Children's
Amazon recently hosted a special
"Camp Amazon: Gold Edition" event
for 15 local children from Connecticut
Children's Medical Center, who are
receiving treatment at the hospital
since being diagnosed with cancer.
The children participated in hands-
on STEM activities and learned how
Amazon associates work alongside
robotics to pick, pack and ship
customer orders. In addition, Amazon
associates delivered a $10,000 grant
to support the hospital's pediatric
oncology department.
New Country Mini donates
supplies to Hartford students
New Country Motor Cars held its fifth annual "Stuff the
MINI to the Max" campaign in which backpacks, pencils,
paper and other school supplies were collected and
delivered to the Family Services of Hartford Public Schools
Welcome Center. Donations were accepted at the New
Country dealership in Hartford and at Staples stores in
Glastonbury, West Hartford, Newington, Southington and
Vernon during the month of August.
