SERVICE LOCATION(S) York County Community Action Corp. provides services to all 29 York County towns and cities: Acton, Alfred, Arundel, Biddeford, Berwick, Buxton, Cornish, Dayton, Eliot, Hollis, Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Kittery, Lebanon, Limington, Limerick, Lyman, Newfield, North Berwick, Ogunquit, Old Orchard Beach, Parsonsfield, Saco, Sanford, Shapleigh, South Berwick, Waterboro, Wells and York. York County Community Action Corp. AWARDS/ACCOLADES 2016: YCCAC received the Social Responsibility Award from YMCA of Southern Maine 2017: Nasson Health Care Providers Dr. Robert Grace and Marte McNally received Clinical Excellence Awards from Maine Primary Care Association 2018: Health Resources and Services Administration recognized Nasson Health Care for Quality Improvement in meaningful use of electronic health records, clinical quality improvers, enhancing access to care, addressing health disparities, advancing health information technology and achieving patient- centered medical home recognition. In addition, York County Head Start program's 12 pre-k classrooms were recognized as scoring in the top 10% by independent evaluators. 2019 GOALS YCCAC is driven by the belief that when our communities are strong, all of its members have opportunities to thrive and, in turn, that when an individual achieves personal success and independence, our communities grow healthier, stronger, and more vibrant. To achieve this, YCCAC has three priority goals for 2019. First, we will continue to address the needs of all of the clients and patients we work with, helping them lead healthy, secure, and independent lives. is includes providing critical services such as Head Start, transportation, heat- ing assistance, home ownership and repair, asset building, and WIC, as well as medical, behavioral and dental services at our health center. It also includes implementing innovative approaches that help individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency. Our second priority is to strengthen the communities our cli- ents and patients live and work in, with a particular focus on affordable housing and workforce development. Finally, we are working to address the opioid use disorder crisis, providing medical treatment that is coordinated and integrated with social supports. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES On November 2, 2018, YCCAC will hold its 4th Annual Fall Ceilidh (an Irish-themed gathering) and Silent Auction for 200 guests at Spring Hill in South Berwick with all proceeds benefiting agency programming and services. GIVING OPPORTUNITITES While YCCAC's annual appeal is launched each November in the hopes of garnering monetary support for agency programming and services, donations are accepted year-round through JustGiving.com or by contacting Ericka Sanborn, development manager, at (207) 459-2938. In-kind contributions are also accepted on an on-going basis through the donation of goods or volunteer services. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Committed volunteers allow YCCAC to provide services to over 15,000 neigh- bors in York County each year. From driving individuals to medical appoint- ments, to helping with tax preparation and assisting seniors with chores around their home, volunteers make a tremendous difference in the lives of people throughout York County. Whether it's becoming a volunteer financial coach, helping individuals enroll in a health insurance plan, participating in a focus group or providing adminis- trative support, YCCAC welcomes all individuals and businesses who wish to share their time and talent with our organization and community.
